Alliance of Light: Ranger

Description:

One of the most versatile classes, rangers are a class based on evading the physical attacks of other melee classes while doing damage with daggers, claws, or reverse swords. They can also set traps, become invisible, transform, and disguise themselves to conform to a variety of situations. Rangers are also the only class that have the sprint skill that allows them to run faster either to travel or in battle. Many of these traits make this class invaluable in pvp as a support character that works behind the brute force and as a character that can solo quite easily in PvE.

Builds:

Most ranger builds are based on dexterity, strength, luck, or a combination of these three. Remember that with every level gain, rangers get 1 stat point into dexterity automatically.

Dexterity is extremely important to a ranger because it affects the evasion rate and determines the amount of sp you have.

Strength determines the base damage the character makes with each hit.

Luck determines the chance of critical and how much it is. Take care that luck is step based in terms of criticals, and it might take a lot of stat points in order to see a huge difference.

Common builds include: Str/Dex, Luck/Dex and full Dex.

Rangers also get buffs that increase Dexterity and Luck, so you can take that into account when determining how to distribute stat points.

Weapons:

Rangers get a choice of 3 types of weapons: daggers, claws, and reverse swords.

Daggers: fastest base attack speed (very fast), increase damage with passive skill.

Claws: highest damage per hit, base attack speed is a bit fast, increase damage and increase attack speed with passive skill

Reverse Sword: highest chance of critical, base attack speed is a bit fast, increase damage and increase attack speed with passive skill

After passive skills, daggers/claws/reverse swords attack at same speed (very fast).

For passive skills, claws and reverse swords are grouped together as “Rogue Weapons,” so the passive skill applies to both weapons.

The ranger epic weapon quest gives you a reverse sword.

Combat

Note: Ranger combat skills have to be used in a chain and in a specific order

The chain usually goes something like this:

Fatal Hit > 1st skill of chain #1 > 2nd skill of chain #1 > 3rd skill of chain #1 > 1st skill of chain #2 > 2nd skill of chain #2 > etc.

examples:

Fatal Hit > Halt Kick (chain 1) > Stun Crash (chain 1) > Tetanus (chain 2) > Aggravation (chain 2) > Slasher (chain 2)

Fatal Hit > Halt Kick > Stun Crash > Halt Kick > Stun Crash
If one skill misses, you can still continue the chain

Longer recharge times for Fatal Hit means the longer you can go without using Fatal hit again

example:
short recharge time: Fatal Hit > Halt Kick > Stun Crash > Fatal Hit > Tetanus > Aggravation > Slasher
longer recharge time: Fatal Hit > Halt Kick > Stun Crash > Tetanus > Aggravation > Slasher

Three basic chains:

Fatal Hit > Tetanus > Aggravation > Slasher

Fatal Hit > Halt Kick > Stun Crash > Phantom Assault
Fatal Hit > Drag Down > Venom Crash > ?

> Tetanus

> Halt Kick

> Drag Down

> Trap

> Stealth

> Stun Crash

> Aggravation

> Venom Crash

Special

> Incantation

> Potential Nimble

> Transformation

> Slasher

> Disguise

> Phantom Assault

> ?

Merry Christmas!

Welcome to winter break…!

Hearing about cheaters brings pain to my heart

—————————————————————————————————————————

Dear Professor Mak,

I am very disappointed to hear that some of my classmates have sacrificed their academic integrity in order to obtain an A in Chem 115. It brings back memories from my last year in high school, when I found out that members of my graduating class were cheating on their tests. It’s not only the cheating that hurts, but the fact that all of them were honors students and held high positions in the school. They were presidents, representatives, and most importantly, they were leaders. It breaks my heart to hear that the present student body president at my high school cheated off of someone else during an AP exam, and it is painful to see president of a club held in high regard slip pieces of paper around during an exam, only to laugh about it to his friends later.

I am glad that you have tried your best to catch the cheaters. Too often it seems that my high school teachers did not notice or care. I thank you for trying your very best, and hope that something good comes out of it.

I am sorry that my classmates have reflected badly on our year. I regret that humans unfortunately, tend to remember the bad more than the good things that happen. I can only hope that the achievements of the ones that worked hard, struggled with the material, and have accomplished what they have set out to do will help to show that we are not all bad.

Lastly, I would like to thank you for all the enjoyable times in Chem 115. You have certainly made chemistry more entertaining and interesting than the last time I took the class. It is really the teacher’s personality and love for their subject that makes a class truly great.

Happy holidays,

Clarissa Eriban

I remember putting this in my aim profile once, and he said it was thought provoking:

When people give you a hug, do they do it because they want to, or because they want one back?

Think about it.

To Alex,

Hugging -> Melting

Beyond cute xD

It was a strange dream that I had the night before…unfortunately, I do not remember much of it because I didn’t immediately write it up when I woke up

All all I remember:

Kissing, so much. It was like it was unbearable to not kiss, because I was not going to see this mysterious person ever again. There was a train, railroad tracks. I was on it, and had to leap off because I forgot something or someone. Chinatown, some place I recognized. Fear, desperation…and hope.

As promised

So I couldn’t resist the urge to post in my xanga after almost a year of inactivity.

So I posted.

I wonder if I should post there again.

Perhaps I should just copy some of my not so personal posts from here and put them over there, haha.

On the other hand, I am done with everything except for finals as of 1pm today.

I’m just lazying around and doing nothing much now.

Just started watching Avatar; it’s pretty interesting in my opinion.

In other news, I am currently working on a Gazette brush set and will be done with it tonight =]

We were eating at Parkside today when the following song played:

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Everywhere you go;
There’s a tree in the Grand Hotel,
One in the park as well
The sturdy kind that doesn’t mind the snow.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Soon the bells will start
And the thing that will make them ring
Is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

Pine cones and holly Berries
Popcorn for you, apples for me
Red striped candy, nut cracker handy
Kettle a-bubblin’ hot as can be.
Snow clouds hang low and threatening
Maybe it won’t, praying it may
The brightest fireplace glows in every face
Waiting for Christmas day…

It brought so many memories…

I first heard this song in 4th grade when we were required to memorize it for the Christmas performance. In our version, the boys sang the first first and the girls sang the second. Then, all of us would sing our parts at the same time. When it’s done correctly, it sounds amazing.

Of course, we couldn’t…but we succeeded after many tries.

I distinctly remember Ms. Yamamoto telling the boys, “Can you hear that? The girls are making their part sound really sweet- put more feeling into it!”

Since then, I’ve loved this song. It always brings me back to my elementary school days.

I would repeat the words to myself even when it wasn’t Christmas for years after that, and would sing along with it when the next year’s class did it.

In my 6th grade year, they changed to another song. That was the year that I forgot some of the girl’s part of the song, but knew the guy’s part perfectly.

In my 7th grade year, my brother brought the lyrics home. I hungrily devoured that crumpled piece of paper, and have known the song ever since.

If each year could be embodied in a single song, this would be the song of 4th grade.

That 4th grade year we also memorized the entire “The Night Before Christmas” poem. To this day, I still have no idea how I did that. It seems very long in retrospect. I even remember doing little gestures at specific parts of the poem, like stomping our feet at the mentions of the reindeer on the roof.

Fourth grade…sometime, I need to go through every year of my life and type up as much as I can remember. I’m sure that would be an enlightening experience.

Welcome
